- אֶשְׁתָּקַד 1) (contr. of שַׁתָּא קַדְמָאָה) last year; cmp. אֶשְׁתָּדָא. Y.Gitt.III, end, 45b ישן משל א׳ ‘old produces means last years crop. Bets.5b; a. fr. 2) (contr. of שַׁעְתָּא קַדְ׳) previously, ere this. Targ. Y. Lev. 16:21.
